Autopilot: What is transactional email?

We use a very simple definition for what makes an email "transactional". We consider it to be any kind of email you'd be happy with a user receiving more than once.

Examples include:

• order confirmations;
• purchase receipts;
• account updates;
• system messages;
• form submission confirmations; and
• cart abandonment emails.
